Most people who call a lawyer are not having a good week. Something has broken down, or a decision is being made about your family, your property, or your freedom, and you need someone who can explain what is actually happening and what your options are.

I take the time to understand your situation before I tell you what I think, and I explain the law in plain language so you can make an informed decision rather than simply being told what to do.

I practice in Conroe, Texas, where I represent people through some of the most consequential moments of their lives: the end of a marriage, a business dispute that will not resolve on its own, a criminal charge that has put everything in life on hold, or dealing with what happens to a loved one’s assets and possessions after they are gone and no plan was made. I help you walk through these difficult moments.

Law is my second career. For twenty-five years, I made my living as a professional singer, gospel recording artist, and speaker, working out of Nashville before moving back to Texas in 2021. I finished my undergraduate degree at Oral Roberts University in 2022, graduating magna cum laude, and went on to South Texas College of Law Houston, receiving a Doctorate of Jurisprudence. I was sworn in as a Texas attorney in April 2026 and to the Oklahoma state bar in August of 2026. Acceptance into the Tennessee state bar is pending.

I practice in family law, criminal defense, and civil litigation primarily in courts in Montgomery County, but also in the surrounding areas of Harris, Walker, San Jacinto and Grimes Counties. In law school, I completed the Texas Advocacy Concentration on the criminal advocacy track, interned with the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office, and clerked for the Honorable Vincenzo Santini in the 457th District Court. In the spring of 2025, I prosecuted a misdemeanor case to verdict and obtained a conviction. In October of that year, I sat second chair in the contested punishment phase of a felony trial as the defense. I have since represented clients in criminal, civil and family courts, for bond hearings, Temporary Restraining Orders, ALR hearings, plea negotiations, Motions to Compel, and bench trials. Of note, I have consistently received positive rulings for my clients on Motions for Summary Judgment and cases appealed to the 9th Court of Appeals.

What clients tend to notice first is that I listen. I want the whole story and I want to know what you are actually trying to achieve, because both shape everything that follows. From there I am careful with the details, since that is where cases are won and lost. I will also tell you honestly what the outcome is likely to be. If your position is strong, I will say so. If it is weak, I will say that too, and we will decide together what to do about it. You are the one who has to live with the result, so you should understand it before you agree to it. From the moment you hire me, I am on your side without reservation.

Beyond the practice

While I am a native Texan, I have spent much of my life working in music ministry as a worship leader, in church leadership positions, as a music missions advocate, and remain an ordained minister. I serve as a worship leader each Sunday at Houston’s First Baptist and continue gospel music missions in Japan on an annual basis. The compassion that has been cultivated in ministry for people who are going through incredibly difficult times has maintained in the practice of law. The same people and circumstances that drive a person to an altar for prayer are often the same circumstances that lead them to an attorney for legal counsel.
